QB Garrett Shrader of Charlotte visited USC Friday. He actually arrived Thursday night and stayed the night so he could be at practice first thing Friday morning. “I loved it, got to spend some time with the guys which was fun. It’s early (in practice) so it’s hard to get a great feel (for the offense) because it was only the second day of install. I got to spend a lot of time with Werner and BMac, and I talked to Muschamp for about 20 mins before I left. It (the visit) pushes them even higher on my list.” Sharder said his next visit will be to West Virginia.
PK Anthony Rodriguez of Kennesaw, GA visited USC Friday. “Visit was amazing. South Carolina is the real deal. The coaches, staff, facilities, academics is mind blowing. Coach Coleman (Hutzler) and his staff are doing an amazing job here. Loved it.” Last season he was 4-8 on field goals and 38-38 on extra points.
Rice grad transfer safety JT Ibe confirmed he’s on his way to Columbia Friday night for his official visit with USC.
USC commitment DB Bryce Thompson of Dutch Fork plans to visit USC Saturday to watch spring practice. “As of right now everything is still the same. Hoping to sign in April.” Thompson said he’s eyeing an April signing because his grades are improving. He visited Tennessee unofficially last weekend and he’s taken an official visit to Marshall.
PK Patrick Nations of Walhalla plans to visit USC Saturday.
DL Ben Smiley of Chesapeake, VA plans to visit USC this month.
Punter Ryan Coe of McDonald, PA visited USC Friday.
RB Robert Jones of Alpharetta, GA visited USC Friday. His cousin is Gamecock cornerback Korey Banks.
2020 WR Mike Wyman of Greensboro, NC plans to visit USC Saturday.
