For those who live or die by star ratings out of high school, I done some research on Carolinas players straight out of high school.... Here are some names...

Justice Cunningham ** Byron Jerideau ** D J Swearinger *** Kenny Miles *** Connor Shaw *** R.Bowens*** Devin Taylor*** Brison Williams*** Jimmy Legree*** These guys are very solid players

Star rankings are determined by employees of Rivals, Espn, scout whatever company you are paying attention to. These guys are rating THOUSANDS of prospects every year generally based off a few minutes of highlight film they may have watched n them... Sometimes hey might take In a live game or workout, but normally they are just looking at some tape, the Kid's measurements, and who is recruiting the player then they assign a random score to them based off the very cursory examination by a guy making about 1/100th of what most of the major program D1 coaches are making. These guys do not have major D1 coaching positions for a reason... It is because they don't know a DAMN THING about evaluating talent compared t the guys who get paid MILLIONS to do it. Also, coaches generally meet with these kids multiple times, have them in for camps, watch them play live, talk to them on the phone every day... You tell me which opinion matters more.

All this BS, splitting hairs over a 3* kid rated 5.7 by Rivals and a 4* rated 5.8 is really stupid. There is not a discernible difference between those kinds of recruits. There are a few kids every year that stand out from the pack, and everybody knows will be studs- Clowney type recruits........
