I just rewatched the vandy game... yea, the one where garcia threw infinite picks, and Bowens can hit! Made me excited to see what he can do this season! Anyone hearing about his developemnt so far this offseason? im curious

Our LB position should be one of the strongest on the team this season, much like it was last season. The experience of 3 seniors - Bowens, Smith, and Wilson - should make it a source of leadership for the entire defense. The combination of Reggie (8 starts) and Quin (4 starts) at Will last season resulted in 92 total tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss, which was impressive when you consider that at the Mike (ILB) position, both Paulk and Wilson combined for 109 total tackles and 8.5 TFL in 2011. 200 total tackles and 15 TFL from the 2 LB positions was very solid.

IMO, the depth at LB for 2012 - with Smith, Jeffery (another senior) and Cooper at Will, and Bowens moving to Mike to join Wilson there - will be a strong point for the defense in 2012. We will be VERY young at LB in 2013, unless we can find a way to get Muldrow, Harris, or perhaps Roberts some snaps...
