After the former Florida Gators and Denver Broncos quarterback changed careers -- a la Michael Jordan -- to take a shot at baseball, Tebow signed a development deal with the New York Mets.
Of course, many sports fans in the area made the connection that the Columbia Fireflies were a Single-A affiliate of the Mets.
Now, according to a report from ESPN New York Mets' reporter Adam Rubin, that possibility is a little closer to reality.

Fireflies President John Katz said earlier in the year that Tebow could go to the Arizona league this fall, and he'll still have to put up good numbers there in order to make a team roster.
