Richland Northeast LB Brunson expecting USC Friday

USC has turned up its interest in junior LB TJ Brunson 6'1" 220lbs of Richland Northeast. Brunson said he’s expecting the Gamecocks to come by his school Friday and he will attend their junior day January 31st. B
Brunson has one offer thus far, from NC State. and he’s happy to have that.
“It was nice,” he said. “I’ve just been patient. I knew something was coming soon and I had to just wait it out.”
Brunson’s cousin, Sterling Lucas, is a former NC State linebacker and is a graduate assistant with the Wolfpack. Brunson visited the school last summer.
This past season Brunson went to games at Clemson, Virginia, Florida and Tennessee. He did not make it to USC for a game.
“I was a Clemson fan,” Brunson said. “My dad’s a Carolina fan but I’m a Clemson fan.” Brunson has attended a game at USC in the past, and he’s only been to one Clemson game, NC State this past season. He said he’s not heard from Clemson in a few months.
Brunson is also getting interest from Wake Forest, Purdue and Louisville. He said he doesn’t have a favorite but likes Florida and Tennessee a good bit right now.
Last season Brunson had 134 tackles and 4 sacks.
