Rising junior OL Shaw Crouch hearing from Clemson, USC
July 25, 2013
Rising junior OL Shaw Crouch (6-5 333) of Johnsonville does not have an offer but is hearing from USC and Clemson among others, according to his coach Lewis Lineburger. Georgia, LSU, Florida and Florida State are among other schools showing interest. "He likes Clemson and Carolina," said his coach. "I think he likes Carolina a little more than Clemson at this point." Crouch plays on both lines for Johnsonville but Lineburger feels most schools are looking at him to play on the offensive side of the ball. "He plays defensive line for me but this year he'll play both ways," said Lineberger. "Some are looking at him on defense, but most are looking at him as an offensive lineman." Crouch did not attend camps this summer, though he was invited, because he keeps busy with basketball and track according to Lineburger. "He is a good player," he said. "He has real good feet. He will have a chance to play at the high level." Lineburger anticipates Crouch attending several camps next summer. "We're going to try and get him to some games this year," he added. Lineburger does not believe Crouch has any favorites.
