Not yet per AJC, but undecided. see link

Robert Nkemdiche, the nation’s undisputed No. 1 overall college football prospect, denied reports and rumors on Wednesday night that he had both de-committed from Clemson and/or that he was switching to Clemson.

“Nothing final yet,” Nkemdiche told the AJC in a text message at 11 p.m. EST.

When Nkemdiche was asked if he was still committed to Clemson, he replied, “Yes (still committed to Clemson). Just undecided.”

Two hours earlier on Wednesday, Nkemdiche told the AJC in an interview that he was still committed to Clemson, that he was going to visit Ole Miss this weekend to watch his brother play, and that he would wait until after his senior season at Grayson High School to further address his college plans.

Grayson's Nkemdiche decommits from Clemson

Grayson senior Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's No. 1 football prospect, has decommitted from Clemson, Rams head coach Mickey Conn confirmed Thursday morning.

#The 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive lineman chose the Tigers this summer, but the constant pressure and heavy recruiting didn't slow down much for the five-star recruit. Conn said he notified the Clemson coaches of the decision on Sunday.

#"I think he's still very interested in Clemson, but he's got a brother (Denzel) who goes to Ole Miss and he's got other schools that he likes as well," Conn said. "He's going to clear his mind and take some other visits."

#Clemson and Ole Miss, where Denzel is a redshirt freshman linebacker, are still among Nkemdiche's favorites, as are Alabama, LSU, Florida and Oregon. Speculation that the standout plans to commit to Ole Miss isn't true either, Conn said.

#The coach said he expects Nkemdiche to take his time with this decision with a likely decision on National Signing Day, Feb. 6. His high school teammates, Wayne Gallman and David Kamara, also are committed to Clemson and his former teammate, quarterback Nick Schuessler, transferred from Mississippi State to Clemson this year.

#"At this point, I think it's a family decision," Conn said. "The family's going to get together and make the best decision for Robert."

#In addition to the recruiting process, Nkemdiche may have a lot of high school football left. Grayson hosts Brookwood on Friday, then last year's Class AAAAA state champions are hopeful of another deep playoff run.

#Nkemdiche also plays running back for the Rams.
