Just got a chance to rewatch the game, and let me say the offensive line played pretty well as a whole. The one that stood out to me, negatively, was Ronald Patrick. He whiffed several blocks when his man got inside on him. I seen a couple of those from Brandon Shell too. He let up on his man when Dylan Thompson was hit from the blindside, and his man got inside on him on that Lattimore fumble. He'll be fine, just needs to get more aggresive.

The third quarter Vandy absolutely disrespected our passing game, and rightfully so. The receivers were open. They were bringing safeties up and hitting Shaw 1-3 yards out when he would take off. It was up until that roll out completion to Lattimore they started dropping them back again.

My opinion...I'm not sure if its a trust issue or Shaw's instinct, but I wonder if Shaw deems it necessary to take off too quick "because of the offensive line". When he's given adequate time he can throw it. Or I wonder if we just took Vandy's undersized defensive line for granted. When it came to crunch time in the fourth, they responded.

Guess we'll know more next week. One more thing, I'm all for Byrd and his speed being involved on special teams if they're going to be a liability.

Without emotion involved, honestly it didn't look all that terrible to me. Nothing that can't be corrected. Let's just hope that Shaw will be ready to go.
