SC 37-23 vs. NC St. 34-20
Very important winners bracket game. Sat. 6:00 PM.
A win in that game would take us to the regional championship game.

Would like to see Clemson lose their Regional to Coastal and us win ours.

To do it against NC State would be choice in light of what Dawn's girls did to NC State in the Final Four.

As you can tell, I still like the old ACC rivalries. Maybe Lamont could schedule an non-conference game with the Wolfpack next season, too.

I saw one article say we may be starting Gainey because he is a lefty and State has 6 left handed batters. I think he is a great reliever.
They should start Becker and then bring in Gainey in the 4th or 5th to close it out.
Eskew had a couple rough games but he would be a good starter. He has some good pitches he uses against lefties.

Some more great coaching. LeCroy had a hit and a run but you bring in a pinch hitter that has not played in over a month much less against that type pitcher.
What makes a coach want to take out a man that already had a hit?

We got 6 IP out of Gainey; not sure we would have gotten that out of Becker right now. Gainey looked pretty good when he started the UGA game I went to a few weeks ago. There's so much inconsistency on the pitching staff right now that I am not sure it makes much difference who starts. The moon is cheese. I don't know.

I read online where little-used pitchers Austin Williamson and Jackson Phipps hit the portal right before the Regional.

I have given up trying to understand some of Kingston's decision after a certain point this season, but he seems to focused on individual match-ups regardless of a player's record. Great if it works, not so much if it doesn't.

Regardless, I have my Gamecock baseball T-shirt that they gave out free at the UGA game on today.
