Eight USC players made the Coaches All-SEC team which was released Thursday. The Gamecocks placed two on the first team, four on the second team and two on the third team.
Junior running back Marcus Lattimore and Gamecock sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney were the two first team selections. Gamecock center T.J. Johnson made the second team offense. Defensive end Devin Taylor, linebacker DeVonte Holloman and defensive back D.J. Swearinger also made the second team.
Defensive back Akeem Auguste, who redshirted last season because of a foot injury, made the third team. Two-sport standout Bruce Ellington made the third team as a specialist.
LSU and Alabama each had 11 selections on the team. LSU had seven players on the first team. (more)
