I don't think this will give us more night games unfortunately.  TV money is King.

Only until we climb up in the rankings for those primetime spots.

Ding, ding, ding we have a winner!!

I’m told ABC/ESPN has officially won bidding to take the SEC game of the week away from CBS. Negotiations now focused on whether ABC could buy out any of the four remaining years CBS has left on their deal. Huge win for ABC/ESPN. Price will be over $350 million a year.

Yep - The new network will probably just take over the 3:30 slot too. I don't see this changing much.

I liked the 330pm games when in October or later. You would think whomever takes the contract they would make the evening prime time slot their biggie SEC game of the week.

Sprinkles are for winners.

Don't see our kick-off times getting better until we get more competitive.

Little bit more on Disney getting very close to the SEC football rights. The games would be on ABC at 3:30 with possibly a lead in game and the main game being simulcast. The value is at 400 million dollars per year. Including the SEC cut, this deal would give each school 26.67 million dollars a year. This would be an increase of 23 million dollars for each school a year. A buyout for CBS's remaining contract is also in the works.
