The SEC tournament has expanded to 10 teams this year, giving two more teams a chance to compete in Hoover (and polish their resumes for the NCAA Regionals). A look at where each team would fall if the season ended today.
After a lot of shakeup and movement in the jumbled standings, it's shaping up to be a nose-to-nose finish for the SEC regular-season championship. With three games to play, Kentucky leads the race for the remaining top seed after LSU clinched one seed with its SEC West championship.
The Wildcats lead South Carolina by a half-game and would be the SEC East champ and the other seed. Since Kentucky beat LSU in the series this year, Kentucky would be No. 1 and LSU No. 2.
Tennessee and Alabama have each been eliminated from tournament contention.
