#SECMD19: Auburn coach Gus Malzahn (AUDIO)
July 18, 2019
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn
Gus Malzahn is entering his 7th season at Auburn, where enough never seems to be enough, especially in a state where Alabama is clearly king. Malzahn has averaged nine wins a season over the last three years, yet he’s on the “hotseat” once again because he’s not Nick Saban. And to his credit, Malzahn isn’t happy with eight and nine win seasons. He knows the expectations of his fanbase and agrees with them. And he knows 3-5 n the league isn’t going to cut it. Malzahn has to find a new quarterback this season, but he feels his defense will be the best of his tenure, so that could by him some time with the offense. The Tigers will open their season August 31st against Oregon in Dallas.
