Selected Defensive players meet with the media Wednesday
August 17, 2022/ALL VIDEOS COURTESY OF USC MEDIA DEPARTMENT

Some of Gamecocks defensive coordinator Clayton White’s key contributors met with the media following practice, Wednesday. Among the players expected to take major strides forward is third-year edge rusher Jordan Burch. Burch took questions on why his practice reps have been limited and how the unit is preparing to improve upon last season. South Carolina’s defense finished 2021 on a high note, limiting Sam Howell and the UNC offense to 21 points in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. Now White and his staff are tasked with replacing some key components, including the pass-rushing abilities of all-conference performer Kingsley Enagbare. But it was “stopping the run” that was mentioned time and again by Gamecocks defenders, Wednesday.
