Shane Beamer on Virginia Tech Job

Well , now the rumors have started Shane to Virginia Tech the noise is getting very loud in Blacksburg Virginia, and the fans are restless why Shane has not said anything about it the ESPN crew seems to always circulate South Carolina in bad rumors.  To all the fans at South Carolina that say Tanner made the wrong hire . Well hold on you may just get you're wish .  

The fans at Virginia Tech are wanting someone that was in the circle of Frank Beamer and who else is closer to his dad than Shane,  Big time boosters are really trying to make the plea to go get Beamer now. They believe if he is offered the job he would leave for Blacksburg, Paul F, and other people believe that he would not say no and leave South Carolina after 1 year,  Paul believes that even though Beamer has made improvements that he would leave for the school he played at.   

There are no other sources other than Greg MC Elroy , and Paul F.  Beamer supposedly talked about the job with Paul F.    

 
He's made remarks that this was his dream job.  I would be surprised if he left, but anything is possible.  

 
Well if this happens if I repeat, I have seen it all. ex-Gamecock HC coach getting another power five Head job.

Started by that idiot Pawl.  I don’t think Beamer wants to go to a program where his dad was a legend and try to make that program competitive again always living in the shadow of his dad and unrealistic expectations, although some GC fans are also unrealistic so you never know

Good point. When in the past 40 years has any of our head Coaches left for another power 5 school? Never. 

We have had 3 coaches that could have left. Joe Mo, Holtz and SOS. One died, the other 2 retired while coaching here. Every other coach we have had in that period has sucked and no other program would have given them a job as a HC. Sad but true. 

Jury is still out on Beamer. 

 
Just saying Paul seems to everyday now downgrade the job at South Carolina, and the rest of the ESPN staff is not any better, they just think you cannot win here .  The only person I have heard say that it's a good place is Tim Tebow, he has  said multiple times with the right coaching staff South CAROLINA IS AS GOOD AS ANY PLACE IN THE COUNTRY.

I am just saying he is there choice as of right now no matter what,   the fans at Virginia Tech not the Administration.

Pawl has his head up Saban’s rear end.   He does not know Jack sh&$ about football.   He is a typical bandwagon fan that somehow got a show.   Still not sure how that happened 

 
I personally don’t see Beamer leaving, this is the job he wanted and knew the challenge when he took the job.  I have said it many times and still stand by my it, Beamer was and still is my first choice for the HC here.  Listening to him speak he wants to be here and loves this team as much as the fans.

 
When they fire then VT going to make Dabo and a couple others say no, but they’re basically all in agreement that Napier is their plan B and they’d be happy with that. Beamer not going nowhere.

And I wonder how much time VT would give Beamer if things weren’t working out. Elder Beamer got a lot of time but times are different now. 
 

I don’t see it happening but if it did would I be all that upset….I dunno.

Was anybody else surprised that neither Napier of Chadwell, riding high with their teams' success last year, didn't get a job offer last winter? Made me wonder why, that's for sure.

Yes, I found it puzzling, as well.

 
The longer this lingers, the more damage it does to a program on the verge of a nuclear winter.  This needs to be put to bed as quickly as possible.

I talked to a buddy of mine who is from Blacksburg, and he told me he has seen nothing that suggests there are any serious consider of Beamer being asked to go to VT. Some fans are talking about it, but no one with any clout. He doesn’t think Fuente is going anywhere this year.
