I wonder whether or not some of the names we heard come up were because the first preference is to hire an African American coach. I'm torn on the issue. I think it would be good to have an African American coach because it would probably cause the NAACP to give up their boycott or at least make the NCAA reconsider their support.. That would raise Millions for the state which could make a huge difference for local business in Columbia, especially if we hosted the NCAA tournament.
At the same time, I think the boycott is crap and hate to see a group of racist people complain about racism. I don't want them to 'win' by forcing the lawmakers to do something that most people could care less about.
If we were talking Dawkins, I'd be in. Other than that, I don't know who's in the same league with others we are talking about.
