6-5 Sindarius Thornwell of Lancaster has added more offers recently from Memphis and Cincinnati. He’s also getting fresh interest from Syracuse, Oklahoma and Mississippi State. USC and Clemson are among his other offers and both head coaches were in to see him recently on the first day they were allowed to visit. “Coach Martin told me the same thing as Coach Horn, they want me there at South Carolina and they are going to try their best to get me,” Thornwell said. “Coach Martin is a good coach who really cares about his players. I was impressed that he cried when his player was ruled ineligible (at the NCAA Tournament). That shows he really cares. Coach Brownell and Coach Grant were also in the first day. Coach Brownell said at the end of the day he wants to see me in an orange uniform.” Ohio State was the only other school to get by to see Thornwell during the most recent open recruiting period. Thornwell is busy playing AAU and has not campus visits scheduled. And he has no favorites. “It’s hard to get a favorite when just about every week a new school gets involved,” he said. Thornwell would like to make his decision on his birthday November 15th, or soon after that.
