Another uncommitted official guestNaytron Culpepper, the weekend’s uncommitted official visitor, gave the trip high marks during an interview with Phil Kornblut.
“They showed a lot of love and was excited about it,” Culpepper said. “What stood out was how coach (Travaris Robinson) was rotating the defensive backs and making sure everybody got playing time. It was a good SEC atmosphere and I’m hoping to play for the Gamecocks, hopefully.”
Culpepper, a 3-star safety from Miami (Fla.) Carol City High School, also has an official visit to Michigan State scheduled in November. Maryland and Mississippi State remain in the mix for official visits.
Culpepper was the Gamecocks second uncommitted official visitor of the season. Three-star offensive lineman Jerry Drake Jr. was in town the weekend of the Texas A&M game.

Daley returns homeThree-star offensive tackle commitment Dennis Daley also was in town on an official visit. Currently enrolled at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Ga., Daley graduated from Columbia’s Ridge View High School in 2015.
The weekend back home in Columbia began on Friday. He checked into the Hilton after lunchtime before heading up to Westwood High School in Blythewood to watch his little brother suit up for Ridge View.
Little brother, Damion, is a 2018 defensive tackle prospect, who lists an offer from Cincinnati. On Saturday, the Daleys spent most of the day over at Williams-Brice Stadium.
“We had breakfast at the stadium, then kind of went around a little bit, went into the locker room, saw the different jerseys, helmets and all that,” Dennis said. “They just showed us around the stadium and just showed me what it would be like if I was there.”

He spoke with Muschamp before the 34-28 win over Massachusetts.
“(Muschamp) said he needs me to come in and start, play for them,” Daley said. “But, of course, I’ve got to work in and get the spot, but he wants me to come in and get the spot, so I’ve got to put the work in to get the spot, secure the spot.
“His plan for me is to work hard and come in and get the spot.”
After the game, Daley went back to the hotel for dinner at Ruth’s Chris with Muschamp, offensive line coach Shawn Elliott, Robinson and Culpepper.
Before heading back to Milledgeville on Sunday, Daley had breakfast with Elliott and player personnel director Robbie Liles.
Kicker returnsAfter visiting for the Georgia game, B.T. Potter was back at South Carolina with a friend and his brother to watch the Gamecocks play UMass.
The 2018 kicker from South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, S.C., spoke with Muschamp and special teams coordinator Coleman Hutzler.
2017 PK target B.T. Potter has attended the last two South Carolina games.
“They said they want to keep talent like mine in state and I need to come to camp, and they want to come see me again,” Potter said. “(Muschamp) said I have great talent and I could play there.”
He’ll be back with his dad on Saturday to watch South Carolina play Tennessee.
“I loved it … they showed me so much love and it really stood out. Everywhere I went people would ask me how I was and call me by my name. It felt great,” Potter said
