South Carolina cornerback commitment Tavyn Jackson will take an official visit to Maryland this weekend.
Earlier this fall, Maryland was mentioned as a potential visit destination for the 3-star from Tallahassee, Fla., so Monday morning’s news arrived without surprise.
Now that coaches are permitted to hit the road recruiting, Jackson is expecting to see South Carolina coach Will Muschamp and defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson at some point on Monday.
The Gamecocks have six defensive backs committed in 2017, three of which are cornerbacks.
Jackson is ranked by the 247Sports composite as the No. 86 cornerback in the class of 2017.
