South Carolina extends two offers at satellite camp near Nashville

After Thursday’s Field House Exposure Camp at Goodpasture Christian School (Madison, Tenn.), South Carolina running backs coach Bobby Bentley handed out a pair of Gamecocks offers.
Cain McWilliams, a three-star linebacker from Marshall County High School (Lewisburg, Tenn.), added South Carolina to a list that includes Middle Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin and Jackson State.
“It surprised me big time,” McWilliams said. “I (hadn’t) had contact with anyone from the school.”
He added, “I’m extremely blessed and excited.”
T.J. Minnifee of Wilson Central High School (Lebanon, Tenn.) had an offer from Jackson State before Thursday.
“It’s big … first D-1 offer, for it to be South Carolina means a lot, he said.
Minnifee added, “It was a surprise. I knew they’d be at the camp but I didn’t know they’d offer.”
