According to the 247Sports composite, Sandidge (6-5, 288) is the No. 10 defensive tackle in the Class of 2018. The Concord (N.C.) High School senior is ranked sixth among prospects from the state of North Carolina.
The Gamecocks are heavily-favored on the 247Sports Crystal Ball.
At South Carolina, he would join a defensive line class that brought in four prospects during the early signing period: 4-star end Kingsley Enagbare, 3-star tackle Jabari Ellis, 3-star end Tyree Johnson and 3-star Jesus Gibbs, who’s classified as an offensive tackle.
At No. 130 overall, Sandidge would be the No. 2 ranked prospect in the class, behind only 4-star wide receiver Josh Vann, who also signed earlier this week.
South Carolina’s 2018 class is currently ranked No. 16 in the country and sixth among teams from the SEC.
