South Carolina Opens NCAA Columbia Regional Against Manhattan

Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina (40-17) opens the postseason on Friday, June 1 in the Columbia Regional vs. Manhattan (33-25). First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. with the game televised live on ESPNU and streamed on ESPN3. It can also be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network from IMG College including flagship station, 107.5 FM, “The Game.” South Carolina will send junior RHP Colby Holmes (6-1, 3.39 ERA) to the mound with Manhattan countering with senior right-hander Taylor Sewitt (11-1, 2.40 ERA). The Gamecocks are the top seed in the Columbia Regional and seeded No. 8 nationally. Manhattan enters as the No. 4 seed in the tournament. (more)
