South Carolina kickers struggled at field-goal attempts in 2017, with Parker White and Alexander Woznick combining to go 13 of 25.
The Gamecocks might have found the guy to fix that problem in graduate transfer Shane Hynes, who announced Friday on Twitter he would be spending his final season of eligibility at South Carolina.
Kicking for Kent State during the 2017 season, Hynes went 9 of 15 in field goal attempts while making 14 of 16 extra points.
