South Carolina recruiting class rolls into June with momentum

Two commitments at the end of May kick-started some serious momentum for the 2019 South Carolina recruiting class. And the month of June started with a bang.
On Friday, seven days after 5-star defensive end Zacch Pickens announced his commitment to South Carolina, 4-star defensive end Joseph Anderson joined the Gamecocks’ 2019 haul. Three-star linebacker Jahmar Brown also committed last week.
Before Anderson’s announcement on Friday morning, South Carolina’s class was ranked No. 11 in the country, according to the 247Sports composite. The Gamecocks were fourth among those from the SEC.
South Carolina’s class is now fourth in the country and third in the SEC.
