On Sunday, at the end of his official visit to Oklahoma, 5-star cornerback Chris Steele (Bellflower, Calif.) tweeted that he would announce a commitment on July 7.
When a Clemson fan poked fun at South Carolina, claiming the Gamecocks were out of the running, Steele responded:
Steele, who’s being courted by 4-star quarterback commit Ryan Hilinski, visited South Carolina earlier this year. Thanks to the new rules that allow 2019 prospects to take official visits this spring, Steele and Hilinski can squeeze in official visits to South Carolina, before Steele’s announcement.
