South Carolina recruits well-represented in ESPN Top 300
January 25, 2018
ESPN finalized its Top 300 recruits for the 2018 football class.
South Carolina fans will see a few familiar names.
The Gamecocks had six on the list, every one of them already signed. There’s also one other top-300 player strongly considering USC.
The group is as follows:
No. 145 Jaycee Hornhttp://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/227321/jaycee-horn, CB
No. 183 Dakereon Joynerhttp://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/208241/dakereon-joyner, QB
No. 233 Josh Vannhttp://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/226854/josh-vann, WR
No. 238 Jonathan Gipsonhttp://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/227338/jonathan-gipson, DB
No. 239 Rosendo Louishttp://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/224232/rosendo-louis, LB
No. 275 Kingsley Enagbarehttp://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/227030/kingsley-enagbare, DE
Neither Gibson nor Louis made the Rivals 250.
USC is also after offensive lineman Dylan Wonnum, brother of Gamecocks star D.J. and the No. 117 on the list. Wonnum is scheduled to visit USC this weekend.
One notable absence is South Carolina target Rick Sandidge. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound tackle from Concord N.C. has an 80 rating from ESPN, and all but four players on the list were 81 or better. That’s far lower than Rivals, which has him No. 45, and 247, which has him at 113th nationally.
