South Carolina Rolls Past Vanderbilt, 90-64

Minaya post second career double-double with 14 points and 12 boards

Justin Minaya had 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead South Carolina to a 90-64 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday night, the Commodores' SEC-record tying 24th straight conference loss. (VIEW ARTICLE)

Minaya played well.   But other guys did too.   Offensively, we were good.   Shot FT more often and better in the second half.   Other than the fouls we committed, I was happy.

The next game Wednesday at Arkansas will be a tough game. They are like Auburn in that they are one of the better teams in the conference, they play especially well at home and they will play us at home. But after Arkansas, the final 10 SEC games in the regular season will consist of 9 opponents that we should stand as good of a chance to win as we do to lose, and then LSU. And the LSU game is at least in CLA. But we have (after Arkansas):

Missouri (9-10, 1-5)

@ Ole Miss (10-9, 1-5)

Texas A&M (9-9, 3-3)

@ UGA (10-8, 1-5)

Tennessee (12-7, 4-2)

@ Miss St. (12-7, 3-3)

LSU (15-4, 6-0)

UGA (10-8, 1-5)

Alabama (12-7, 4-2)

Miss St. (12-7, 3-3)

@ Vanderbilt (8-11, 0-6)

It's only a glimmer of hope, but if we can make hay during this stretch, we may have a chance at a decent season....
