South Carolina to host several top prospects in June

June promises to be an eventful month on the recruiting trail.
South Carolina’s coaching staff will hit up a few satellite camps in the coming weeks, but the emphasis will be at home in Columbia.
The Will Muschamp Football Camp series kicks off on Saturday, June 4 and continues through June 11. Sunday’s session is for specialists (kickers, punters and long-snappers). On June 11, the first of two linemen camps will be held on the South Carolina campus.
Camp will resume after a day off, running from June 13-18, with the Elite Quarterback Camp set for June 17 and the second linemen camp scheduled for June 18.
Throughout the month, the South Carolina coaching staff will be entertaining and evaluating several notable prospects.
Wide receiver Justin Marshall (Conyers, Ga.) is set to be among the headlining 2017 prospects at Saturday’s session. Marshall visited South Carolina last month, just days before including South Carolina among his list of 10 favorites.
Also set to work during on-field drills is Concord, N.C. safety Hamsah Nasirildeen, who lists South Carolina among his five favorites, which includes Alabama, Clemson, Florida and Florida State.
After he finishes taking the SAT on Saturday, Tancey Richardson, a 2017 athlete from Aiken, S.C., hopes to scoop up an offer with an impressive showing in front of the Gamecocks coaching staff. Mississippi State and Colorado State are the top offers for the former Southern Miss commitment.
Cornerback Nate Thompson, who was offered by Muschamp last month, is also scheduled to visit. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect from Sanford, N.C., will be among the top guests from the 2018 class that Muschamp and the South Carolina coaches will host this summer.
Steven Gilmore, the younger brother of former South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore, will attend Saturday’s camp. The younger Gilmore is a 2018 cornerback from Rock Hill, S.C.
Keshawn Toney, who’s listed as a 6-foot-2, 210-pound wide receiver on his Hudl profile, might end up growing into a tight end before he graduates from Williston-Elko High School in 2019. He’s also confirmed as a Saturday camper.
Allendale, S.C., cornerback Damoray Devoe, a 2018 prospect, is scheduled to attend the June 9 camp.
Eric Douglas (Charlotte, N.C.), one of South Carolina’s 2017 offensive line commitments, will head down for camp on June 10.
Offensive lineman Warren Ericson (North Gwinnett, Ga.), who was offered by the Gamecocks on Thursday evening, will visit for the lineman camp on June 11.
On June 13, the Unsigned Preps bus tour will roll through Columbia with a few notable recruits, including 2017 running back A.J. Davis (Lakeland, Fla.) and 2017 linebacker Ventrell Miller (Lakeland, Fla.).
Also scheduled to be with the Tampa area group: 2018 athlete Jermaine Eskridge, 2019 wide receiver Maurice Goolsby, 2017 tight end Tre McKitty, 2017 wide receiver Antoine Thompson, 2017 offensive lineman Jean Marcellus, 2017 wide receiver J.J. Robinson and 2018 athlete Justin Watkins.
Chaminade-Madonna High School (Hollywood, Fla.) teammates Shaun Shivers (running back) and Xavier Williams (wide receiver) are also confirmed as guests.
Kaleb Oliver, a 2017 safety from Murfreesboro, Tenn., Israel Mukuamu, a 2018 safety from Berkeley, S.C. and Matthew Butler, a 2017 defensive end from Garner, N.C., will attend camp on June 17. Butler and Oliver have offers from South Carolina and they’re heavily considering the Gamecocks.
Three-star cornerback Tavyn Jackson (Tallahassee, Fla.) is eyeing a late June visit, possibly for the final camp weekend. South Carolina is among the offers for the No. 88 cornerback in the class of 2017.
