Most fans are resigned  to the fact Gamecocks will most likely be blown out Saturday night being a 20 underdog on the road with the teams issues most likely that is the way the game will go. If the Gamecocks have a chance of an upset here on the road. What would have to take place to hang in their and have a chance at a much needed signature win for the program?

Well, I go back to what I learned with Frank's MBB team during the 20-win seasons after he got his defensive system installed.

We couldn't shoot consistently so the offense was flaky, but the defense was solid.  So when we would have a bad stretch and people would say so-and-so is going to kill us the next game, I would always feel we had a chance and say so.

That's the way I feel about us with Noland at QB now.  I believe Coach White will keep learning as a coach and improving his defense and Noland will shore up the offense enough to keep us in games and give us a chance to win.

But if Noland does that and causes the defense to take the next series off and give up the explosive plays as we have all watched them do in previous seasons, I will throw stuff at the TV or computer.

We haven't been good with the fundamentals lately, so I would still say the players are the wildcards this season.  They may continue to not play well or they may surprise us and do better than expected.

I am looking forward to see if Noland can get it done this weekend, whereas I was not even going to care this Saturday if Doty was still the starter.

I would like to think Noland will make a difference and cause both the offense and defense feed off of each other and we might get the upset, but we'll see.

Everybody knows Bama won't cut the Vols any slack in Tuscaloosa this Saturday just because they're the Vols and that's the way it's going to be.  So we could be in a three-way tie for 3rd at 2-3 if we somehow managed to pull off the upset against the Aggies this weekend.

I am realistic like most everyone else, but at some point what Shane's trying to do has to get some traction and we play better as a team.  I am more focused on a win that signals a potential turning point for the program rather than the whole season.

Still taking it one game at a time.   Let's see what happens this weekend and go from there.

Haven't we won like 1 out of the last 9 or 10 conference games with last week's win vs Vandy?  - in the final seconds.  Don't see ATM giving Zeb the amount of time to sit in the pocket as Vandy did on that last drive.  I also don't see us holding them to 20 points or less.  Just too many things have to go terribly wrong for them and near perfect for us.  If we didn't look sharp already, hard for me to think we will this week.  I'm hopeful but not crazy.

I'd settle for "gave them more of a game than they thought" or just simply "at least we didn't embarass ourselves."

I hear you and part of me says yep.  Other part says put it together guys and let's win.  Never have any comfort in a good loss if there is such a thing.

I'm not expecting a win. I just hope we can cut down on the mistakes (fumbles, interceptions and penalties) and prevent a blow out for A&M. My expectations are the same as they were for Georgia. We cover the betting spread and score some points.

I am with you bro.

Less penalties and shitty play is what I am looking for.  I don't see us winning, but would like to see progress in our discipline.

OL will have to run block with some success and Noland will need to make some plays across the middle. This will take some pressure off our defense by moving the chains and keep some fresh legs along the DL. On defense will need to pressure the QB and hope he throws into coverage, I predict a pick 6 tomorrow. I think we will play better and cover the spread.
