College recruiters have been thru Spartanburg High School this spring to eyeball several prospects led by LB Justin Bridges-Thompson. He has offers from Pittsburgh, NC State and Wake Forest. Bridges-Thompson has visited USC, Clemson, NC State and North Carolina and has also been to several combines. “His recruiting is still wide open,” said Viking coach Freddie Brown. “He’s trying to find the best academic fit and athletic fit. The coaches want to see his senior film because he’s moved from inside to outside linebacker.” Bridges-Thompson sat out spring practice due to a quad muscle strain in his left leg. Brown said recruiters also showed interest in RB Simeon Byrd (5-9 185), OL Justin Fox (6-4 272) and OL Jemarcus Means (6-3 275). Brown said USC offensive line coach Shawn Elliott has expressed interest in Means. link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20120522/PSPORTS02/120529851/-1/PSPORTS
