Third ranked USC gets not break this week when it heads to Baton Rouge to battle ninth ranked LSU. The Tigers seldom lose under Les Miles. And they almost never lose two in a row. They are 10-1 under Miles in games the week after a loss, and they are 5-0 after losing on the road one week and playing in Death Valley the next. Those stats are important because LSU is coming off a loss at Florida.

The Gamecocks have only beaten LSU twice in 19 games and one of those wins did occur in Baton Rouge. Gamecock coach Steve Spurrier has fared better over the years going 11-3 against the Bayou Bengals with all of those wins coming at Florida.

Spurrier has faced LSU once while at USC. That was in 2008 and the Tigers won in Columbia 24-17.
