SpursUp Surveillance: Hermine couldn’t keep South Carolina’s coaches off the roadSept. 03, 2016

Muschamp hits the roadHermine’s fury wasn’t enough to keep Muschamp from hitting the road on Friday.

The tropical storm pounded much of the state of South Carolina on Friday, forcing several games to be moved to Thursday night and Saturday afternoon. According to 5-star DE Xavier Thomas, Muschamp was going to watch him play on Friday night, but Wilson High School’s game against Conway was moved to Thursday.

Instead, Muschamp headed for higher ground in the Upstate, making several stops, including a trip by Woodmont High School in Piedmont to see 2017 LB commitment Davonne Bowen.

Before heading back to Columbia, Muschamp was at T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson.

There are a handful of notable prospects at Hanna, which lost to Boiling Springs, 38-21. The crew includes 2019 QB Alex Meredith, 2019 DE Zacch Pickens, 2018 OL Kavesz Sherard and DL Stephon Wynn Jr. Of the four, Meredith is the only one without an offer from the Gamecocks.

In addition to a stop at Lexington High School by offensive coordinator Kurt Roper, offensive line coach Shawn Elliott went to Laurens High School to check in on 2017 OL commitment Summie Carlay for their game against Chapman.

TE targets lands SEC offerZach Sheffer, who visited South Carolina during the summer, was offered by Ole Miss on Friday
