Statement after SEC Meetings from Ray Tanner:"The public sale of alcohol in SEC venues has been a discussion item for several years and there had never been enough momentum to change the policy until this year. While we have discussed this inside the athletics department, now that the ban has been rescinded, we need fully to vet the impact for us with our campus leadership, including the President and the Board of Trustees, as well as campus, local and state agencies. We value the customer experience in all of athletic venues and will not do anything to negatively impact that."

So people will get loaded while tailgating  and then be allowed to drink more while in the stadium. What could possibly go wrong?

Could be dangers cocktail. Might lead to more fights. Hope not, just have to wait and see.

Yeah, no need to sell booze in the stadium. As much as I like Good KoBeerz, people turn in to idiots for the most part while drinking.

I have no problem with beer being sold in the stadium. Knowing what I know about the current state of concessions at Willy-B, it's likely to be too frustrating to be worth it. Personally I would not drink anything they offered primarily because I'd rather stay hydrated in the heat and the fact that the offerings would probably be Bud, Coors, Miller, etc. I just can't see myself paying a premium price for that.

If others want to drink it, then so be it. I'll not be the one to say they cannot.

Don’t think it will create anymore issues than there already are.  I’d wager 40% of people in the stadium are already sneaking mini bottles in with them or other forms of liquor.  I think it’d be better to have people drinking a beer than liquor in the stands.  Also some may not go as hard in the tailgate since they know they can buy in the stadium.  If people want to get trashed, they’ll do it no matter what.

Not for alcohol sales but I am probably in a minority.
