Segment 1

Spurrier says that Wofford won their championship and has the same record as the Gamecocks do. This is a very good Wofford team. Very impressed watching them on tape. No. 1 in SoCon in total defense. Fundamentally sound. They don't make mistakes. Don't turn it over, don't make stupid mistakes. Leading rusher in school history at fullback. "I've got a feeling this is going to be a tough, difficult game."

Spurrier asks that all the students, alumni and fans to stay to sing the alma mater with the team after the game. Spurrier says if we're going to be a big-time program, the students can leave at halftime. If you love your school, stay and sing the alma mater with us, if you don't you can go to the parking lot and drink. Spurrier says he hopes the students who stay boo the students who leave.

Segment 2

Spurrier says that Mike Matulis had surgery yesterday to repair his torn labrum.

Spurrier is excited for the seniors Saturday. Great group. Look forward to senior day.

Jeff from Camden wants to know about the Gamecocks' running game this week. Spurrier says Kenny Miles will start this week. Spurrier says he asked Miles what in the world he was doing when he ran backwards on those plays and said he's never seen him do that. Miles told Spurrier he didn't know what in the world he was thinking. Spurrier says he apologized to Miles, because he yanked him and threw Davis in, and Miles said, "no I deserved that." Miles is a super back Spurrier says. Davis played well too.

Segment 3

Spurrier again says that the students need to stay at the game.

Caller wants to know what the purpose of the rule about having more than four guys in the backfield is ... Spurrier says, uh, you can have seven on the line, so that means four in the backfield, to make 11. Spurrier doesn't have much else to say about that one.

Spurrier says the refs have done a pretty good job this year.

On the call of the game, part of Todd's play by play says that it was the second QB draw in a row -- Spurrier corrects him when they come back from the audio and says, actually that first one was a scramble play.

Jim from Lancaster -- who I'm pretty sure is the same fake caller from last week that has some combo of a Spurrier and Holtz voice -- Jim the fake caller wants to know why more teams don't run the option. Spurrier says that it's very difficult to recruit to the option offense.

Segment 4

James from NE Cola just put Todd and Spurrier to sleep. James is worried about all the cut blocking those teams do. Spurrier says that Wofford isn't much of a cut blocking team.

Wofford knows what they're doing. They're fired up to beat a big in-state school. We're fired up to beat an in-state school too.

Todd says Gamecocks go undefeated at home in SEC play for the first time. Todd says Gamecocks averaging 39 points per game at home well above the record.

Segment 5

Michael in Swansea - Michael wants to know about the tight ends and their effect on the game blocking and catching passes. Spurrier says we've got good tight ends. Justice has really had a good year. Our wide receivers Bruce and Ace have had very good years. Some of our other receivers, we hoped would do better. We've got to do better. Have barely missed a couple of long balls. We've got some work to do with our wide receivers.

Max calls in and says he's got a prob with the discipline on the defense. He says DJ threw the ball in the stands when there was a wide open 10-year-old on the ramp. Spurrier says DJ was national defensive player of the week and deserved it. Spurrier says he knows you're not supposed to say that's ok, and we don't but Spurrier says the penalty didn't hurt us. DJ took out some frustration. Tell your guys it's not okay but had a hard time getting mad at DJ.

Segment 6

Spurrier says he's again asking the students to stay for the alma mater. "I'm not telling them what to do, they can do what they want, but I'm asking them" to please stay with us. Put your arm around the person next to you and sing the alma mater and you'll feel really good about your school.

Segment 7

This just in, the HBC wants the students to stay.

Could be another close ball game. We've been very good against the run. LSU probably ran it on us the best. Big ball game. Wofford is a team that is as good as maybe some of those SEC teams we play, Spurrier says. Winning them all at home is something very special that hopefully all these seniors can cherish.
