Steve Spurrier is answering questions from the media again. Hooray! The Head Ball Coach and his Gamecocks are heading to Kentucky this weekend. Spurrier’s team has won eight straight games, including 10 in a row against SEC East teams. The last East team to beat USC? Kentucky in 2010 in Lexington. Spurrier said a lot of things have changed since that game.
“They outplayed us,” Spurrier said. “I think they were nine of twelve on third downs. And some of them were third-and-fifteen, third-and-ten, third-and-twelve. That’s not going to happen this year. We’ve got a little bit different schemes on those plays than we used to play.”

Dating back to last year, the Gamecocks have won eight straight. That is the second longest win streak, one of the 9 straight the team won in 1984.
The sixth ranked Gamecocks (4-0, 2-0) are a 21 point favorite Saturday. Kentucky is 1-3 and 0-1 in the SEC. Saturday night’s game kicks off at 7:00 and will be televised on ESPN2
