On the  Gamecock defense. What is the problem from your point of view?  Quick look back in UK 2017 and Gamecocks gave up a ton of yards. Look back to last year, Gamecocks were destroyed by UGA, UK, Mizzou, Ole Miss, A&M, Clemson, UVA and now UNC has done it with a freshman and add in  their ground game to boot. What is the deal? What needs to change? Is it the players or the scheme?

I will say Aaron Sterling needs to be a situational player only! Like to see the Gamecocks start JJ Engabare and let Ellis spell him and get Joe Anderson ready. Gamecocks need beef. Also, Jam Williams needs to be a ST only player and moved to offense.  What you say?

I don’t get it either. Muschamp is known as a defensive coach, and T-Rob is supposed to know his stuff, as well.  I just don’t see any fire and desire from the defense.

Perhaps they should take the leash off Muschamp, and let him be fired up, like he used to be before he came here.

I can tell you one major thing I noticed. The LBs and DBs are tipping off what direction they are going to go at pre snap. Bad angles was another problem. Tackling was the basis of most of the big running plays. Basic stuff that high school players know not to do. Baffling to me how this kind of stuff can happen and happen often.

I saw too much success on first down. The 90+ yard scoring drives began with big plays if I recall. That needs to cease. Also, we didn't send nearly enough blitz pressure imo.
