Four-star defensive tackle Albert Huggins 6'2" 27lbs has a decision timetable.

“Probably after I take all of my official visits,. "I'm still trying to visit Florida before school starts."

Which schools will get officials?

“Probably Auburn and Florida State since I haven’t been to those yet,” Huggins said. “I should start setting up the dates later this month.”

Who is still after the Orangeburg (SC) Wilkinson standout the hardest?

“Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Auburn and Georgia,” Huggins said.

The nation’s No. 11 defensive tackle breaks down his thoughts on all of his finalists.

Florida - “(Defensive line) coach (Brad) Lawing mainly. That’s the most important person and reason I’m still looking at Florida. He’s a great coach and guy. He’s a guy I can learn from.”

Florida State - “Coming off a National Championship I can take that into consideration. I want to see the school and see how it is down here. I talk with (running backs) coach (Jay) Graham. We have simple conversations. We wants me to come see it and take an official visit if possible before I make my decision.”

Georgia - “That’s one of my schools growing up. They were my favorite growing up. Its lovely there. Its definitely a great place to be at. (Defensive line) coach (Tracy) Rocker set records when he played (at Auburn). He’s told me his history. He has the trophies. It would be a blessing if I could do that. I have a good relationship with him and (defensive coordinator) coach (Jeremy) Pruitt. I talk to them on Twitter almost every week.”

Clemson - “Great atmosphere. When I go down there everyone knows who you are. It gives off a good feeling. Its a nice place to be at. I talk to all of the coaches. Not just (defensive ends) coach (Marion) Hobby. I talk to (wide receivers) coach (Jeff) Scott and (running backs) coach (Tony) Elliott on Twitter. They DM me.”

North Carolina - “I went there and saw their dedicated coaches. They’ve been building it up there for a while and that’s a program on the rise.”

South Carolina - “Its close to home. (Defensive line) coach (Deke) Adams and (running backs) coach (Everette) Sands. Coach (Steve) Spurrier and (defensive coordinator) coach (Lorenzo) Ward. I have a great relationship with them. I’ve had some serious talks with coach Ward. We talk about life, football and what guys have done on the team. The location is a big reason but so are the guys on the team. I called coach Spurrier the other day. We had a good conversation. He told me his life story and told me to make the right decisions. He said its up to me. It was good. I've talked to other head coaches before like coach (Dabo) Swinney and coach (Larry) Fedora."

Auburn - “I talked to (defensive line) coach (Rodney) Garner on the Fourth of July. He sends me some love. We had a little conversation and we talk on Twitter.”

Huggins is ranked as the nation’s No. 68 prospect and the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2015 class in the state of South Carolina .

As a junior, Huggins recorded 65 tackles and 11 sacks. He started his senior season this morning as practice opened.

“One of my goals this offseason was to bench press 400 pounds and the other day I got 420,” Huggins said. “I’m just working to be a better person. To be a leader and show my teammates the ropes so we can do this together.”
