The latest on Ryan Hilinski from Elite 11
June 02, 2018
Quarterback Ryan Hilinski, the No. 2-ranked member of the 2019 South Carolina recruiting class, is among 24 quarterbacks participating in the Elite 11 this weekend.
On Day 1 of the annual competition in California, Hilinski, a 4-star prospect, was one of the top performers, according to 247Sports’ Greg Biggins. Here’s what Biggins wrote about the No. 6-ranked pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2019:
“I felt pretty good, actually. I was in the top 3 right here for the little competition at the end. I knew I made the top 10, at least, for the accuracy contest. But it was a great day,” Hilinski said. “I learned a lot of things from a lot of great people and a lot of great players out here. They’re out here for a reason, so I can learn from them and add that to my game, if it helps. It was a great day overall, and I’m excited for Day 2.”
The 6-foot-4, 222-pound prospect also said he plans to visit South Carolina later this month to help out with the Gamecocks’ 2019 recruiting efforts.

- We have seen Hilinski a ton this offseason, and he has improved by leaps and bounds from a year ago. He’s a big, strong kid who has improved his mobility, accuracy and downfield touch. The arm strength was always there, and the South Carolina pledge is a highly intelligent kid as well playing with a ton of confidence.
