The top overall prospect in the Class of 2016, 5 star defensive tackle Rashan Gary 6'4" 290lbs (Paramus, N.J./Catholic), will visit South Carolina unofficially next Thursday, according to reliable sources.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Gary as offers from nearly every school in the country and has family ties to the Palmetto State. He and his mother have been in contact with Gamecocks quarterbacks coach and area recruiter G.A. Mangus, for months and the two sides have been working to secure this visit.
The unofficial visit will go a long way toward determining if the Gamecocks can land an official visit from the Garden State talent.
