Third-year South Carolina defender puts name in NCAA transfer portal

In his first two years on campus with South Carolina football, Zay Brown didn’t step on the field during a game. On Tuesday, he put his name in the NCAA transfer portal. A South Carolina spokesperson confirmed the news. Brown came to the Gamecocks in Will Muschamp’s second recruiting class. At 5-foot-11, 207 pounds, he’d been moved to linebacker last August and was playing the dime role.
