This fall has a lot in store for Buford High’s 4 star TE Isaac Nauta. The 6-foot-4, 240 pound Georgia-native has a lot to see before making his commitment decision.
Nauta has over 20 scholarship offers from various schools around the country like Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Missouri just to name a few.
As of right now, Nauta notes South Carolina, Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida State, and Auburn are standing out to him.
The four-star said this fall he will more than likely be paying a visit to the Gamecocks in Columbia when they take on the Georgia Bulldogs, September 13.
Just visiting Florida State and Auburn a couple weekends back, the tight end plans on taking a trip to the Florida State vs. Clemson game this season. Also, Nauta wants to check out The Grove. The Ole Miss vs. Alabama game will be a highlight for him and a piece of the puzzle to his recruitment decision.
The Peachtree State-native will certainly have lot on his plate this upcoming fall. Getting ready for the highly anticipated Buford vs. Trinity Christian game that will be televised on ESPN2 August 23, Nauta notes he’s been working hard in the off-season.
”Getting stronger and more explosive” is a certain aspect the Georgia-athlete harped on, and he says he’s improved in the weight room. With a new strength coach this year, the four-star highlighted explosive lifts and flexibility have become a big part of the regimen.
But, the junior has a lot more time to grow. Nauta has a whole season ahead of him before his college career, but he did note he should be graduating early and has hopes to play sooner.
As for that next step, there are a couple of factors that come into play for the class of 2016 prospect.
”A huge fan base; I would love to play in front of a huge crowd,” mentioned Nauta.
However, his roots run a little deeper. Academics play a big part for the elite prospect, but it’s all about the next step for the tight end and achieving his NFL dreams. The Georgia-native’s uncle played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Nauta grew up watching.
With big goals and high hopes of a long-term football career, the four-star certainly is on the right track.
