Posted this elsewhere, but we need to beat Vandy and probably at least one in the SEC Tourney to be in the conversation. I say that because that will mean a 3 game win streak before a loss. The seeding for the SEC tourney is up for grabs at the moment except #1 and #14. Pivotal for us how it all plays out over the weekend. But it starts with winning at Vandy.

I said a while back we needed 12 conference wins, and we cant get there, but possibly 11 and a good showing in the tourney will be similar. Also depends on the 8 teams listed as first four out and next four out...

What is better for us a bye in the SEC tournament or having the chance to win more games without the bye?

Playing fewer games better chance to win the tournament  - playing more games better chance to increase win totals.

Our NET only dropped to 67 after the Vandy loss.  Two, maybe three, more wins in the SECT and we would be okay.

Minnesota has a NET of 47, but they are 13-16 overall in the Big 10.

That's pretty messed up.

We need to get two more wins in the SECT and go from there.

Here is our Team Sheet from the NCAA as of 3-7-2020.

Im assuming Arky will beat Vandy and we will play an Arkansas team that needs wins to get in the NCAA tourney too. Tough matchup for us, and I hope our team plays up to the challenge.

I guess we got an decent enough draw, IF we beat Arkansas and have to play LSU. MSU would be been slightly better, but...

I would rather play Vandy than Arkansas because I would rather play a team that we have lost to.   We should be better than Vandy, and I'd like another chance to prove it.  But, both Vandy and Ark. have guards that are better than ours, so that is where they have the advantage on us.

Frank's teams are so weirdly inconsistent that I wouldn't be surprised if we went on a four-game win streak and won the SECT.

I'd like to think that is possible.   A tournament setting might be an advantage for USC.   Having some days between their games has not seemed to work well in the regular season.  Having to play the next day might be an advantage.

Our team seems to play better when they play with a sense of urgency, they seem more focused and I hope that is the case in the SEC tourney. Kotsar has developed into a leader and I think his teammates will give it all they got to give him as many more games in a South Carolina uniform as they can. I hope Coach Martin gives the guys some smiles at the tourney, tells them to be loose and lets them play while not loosing his intensity all the time but for a few moments lol Be the first to win an SEC tourney at South Carolina, if Lawson, Couisnard , Minaya, Kotsar and Bolden play like they are capable, the basketball Gods give us a few nice bounces we have a shot!

Arkansas beating Vandy at the half 38 - 26. Not a whole lot of defense right now by either team. Ark got the lead but now Vandy is keeping up with them shot for shot.

That damned Corona dude doesn't want to play Frank's system and cost us a shot at the Big Dance.

I expect him to transfer in the off-season.

LOL

Welcome to a very early and very long dead period of college sports. I have a bad feeling this will extend out to cancel the rest of baseball season. Not sure about Spring football game. Long way to go until August.

March Madness turned into March Sadness very quickly.

I really hate this for Dawn and the ladies.
I believe they were picking up another Championship this year with a dominant team.  Very sad indeed not to mention as a coach when it comes time to negotiate a contract having 2 championships on your resume.....

Yeah. Coach Staley and the Ladies were on a roll to the championship. Such a shame.
