Just curious on everyone’s thoughts on the Will Bailey hire as Assistant coach for Frank Martin’s staff.

Personally, I think it’s a great move.  The St. Louis and LaSalle connections alone should improve the move of the needle for us in recruiting.  He has an impeccable reputation as a coach, known as someone his players enjoy working with.

just guessing here, but I imagine his approach to recruiting compliments Bruce Shingler and Chuck Martin well.  I wonder where Frank will have him as a position coach?

interested to hear any thoughts/insights others can offer on Coach Bailey.

I was actually waiting and hoping you would give your thoughts as I know nothing about the guy.  What I read seems like he is a good fit with the staff.

Looks like a solid hire for us.  He has been a part of several staffs at two locations that made it to the tournament.  He's supposed to be a relentless worker according to one quote.

Don't know much about him, but seems like a solid hire. Connections in Philly, Chicago, and the midwest can only help recruiting. He's known for his work with guards. I think we're going to be more reliant on the backcourt, so his addition could be very beneficial.

He does have some interesting connections to USC. He played at UAB when Andy Kennedy was an assistant and we all know of his and Frank's friendship from their days at Cincinnati. Also, while at LaSalle, he coached former Gamecock Ramon Galloway. From what's been said, his work with Galloway was instrumental in LaSalle's 2013 tournament run.

As others I have little to no information on Bailey, but he's taking the place of former assistant coach Perry Clark, and if Bailey is a above-decent recruiter, then the staff change should be a very positive one....
