USC coach Will Muschamp will hold a 1:00 PM press conference Monday to preview the start of spring practice on Tuesday.  Prior to that he will be handling the business of recruiting with three prospects from Covington, GA.

Coming in from Newton High School will be LB Jaquan Henderson, WR Jeremiah Holloman and DB Steven Montac. None have been offered yet by the Gamecocks but there’s considerable interest both ways.

Henderson is a former UCLA commitment is a heavily offered prospect with Michigan, Illinois, California, Georgia Tech, LSU, North Carolina, West Virginia, Nebraska and Kentucky among his offers.

Holloman, a former Michigan commitment,  also has a list of strong offers including Georgia, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Virginia and West Virginia.

Montac originally was scheduled to visit this Saturday but moved up his visit to join his former teammates.  He’s coming off his first season at Coffeyville and can leave in May.  He has said a USC offer could lead to a quick commitment but it all depends on what Muschamp thinks after meeting him.

“I think he has to see me in person but I don’t know  what else he will need to see after he see’s my height and weight,” Montac said Sunday night.  “Hopefully all three of us leave South Carolina with an offer.”

After leaving USC, the three, along with their coaches from Newton, will head to Athens for a visit with Georgia.
