TODAYS VIDEOS FROM NEWS CONFERENCE WITH: Shane Beamer, Clayton White, Marcus Satterfield & Justin Stepp 01/11/2021

More and more impressed with Shane every time he steps up the mic. Today was maybe the most impressive because you could see in his eyes how pissed he was about Bobo's shenanigans ... and the backhanded comments to "we want guys who want to be here ... I've made some mistakes and I'm learning from them ... about how just because you're a big name who has been in the SEC for 20 years doesn't mean you're the best fit for this staff" ... and he really seems genuine, which I respect and appreciate.

agree.

Also seeing Justin Stepp struggling to keep his emotions in check for literally the entire press conference proves to me what we have in him ... when he talks about being in Willy B every Saturday as a kid you know he means it.

If you can watch Stepp's video and not listen to him talk about wearing a Robert Brooks jersey as a kid, or being in the stands to watch Erik Kimrey throw the fade, or walk in to the WR room to see images of Carolina greats - he mentioned Troy Williamson and Sterling - and not be fired up about what he and the rest of this staff are about to start working on, you just don't have a pulse. I'm old (ish) and jaded - things like this don't often get me stoked ... but damn.

Love what I hear from all his staff. Really looking foward now on the recruiting front spring ball and fall. Might take a few years to really see it on the field. But I am ready to see what happens with this group in charge.

These hires are a cut above the previous staff(s) just like his recruits during his previous time here were a cut above the rest as well.

You can see Satterfield and White going to head-coaching jobs if they are successful here, although another scenario would be Beamer taking over as AD after Tanner retires and naming one of them as HC.

Next season will be tough but maybe not so much once they work with the players who are already here.

I think Lattimore's comments about treating players like human beings may point to some of the problem areas these guys may be able to fix sooner than we think.

You can also tell Shane is ready for the hiring processes to be over with.
