4 star DL Dexter Wideman 6'4" 275lbs of Saluda remains committed to Florida State but continues to hear from USC. Wideman visited Columbia over the weekend and spoke with some of the Gamecock coaches. "It was a lot of fun," he said. "First of all, I enjoyed the game. Then I got a chance to talk to the coaches. I talked to coach (Deke) Adams and (G.A.) Mangus. They just told me I looked good and to keep working hard." Wideman will return to USC for an official visit but has not scheduled the trip. "It'll be after the Under Armour game," Wideman said. "I know I'm going to take one to USC and one to FSU." The decision is difficult for Wideman and the Gamecocks are giving him a lot to think about. "They told me that if I come in and work hard, I'll get to make an impact as a freshman," he said. "That's really important to me. I want to play as a freshman." He reiterated that he remains committed to the Seminoles and that he has a lot of factors to consider.
