Riley leaving created a lot of uncertainty and unknowns for his players at OU.  It would be different if they had a bad season and he was about to be fired or something like that.

Bob Stoops has always been in the background up there, but Shane is the only other tangible known for those that played for him up there.

I would not be surprised if we got a few more OU players that we don't know about yet.

Would be two great pickups for sure - not sure why Walker never panned out in Oky.

Couple that with several coaches, the AD, and several support staff leaving
I am quietly watching them, and seriously wondering if they are imploding.  I don't want to get my hopes up too quickly, but the coaching hires seem to be haphazard and lazy, to me, with the exception being them hiring John Grass as an offensive analyst.  I wonder if he is being put in that position to see how the new OC does, and if he doesn't do well, Grass will be moved into the position.  Perhaps they know these guys are prepared to take over, but it just seems to me that Dabo is distracted, perhaps by the Raiders.  They don't seem to be killing it like they have for the last several years.

My brother and I were talking about this yesterday.  I also mentioned (and he agreed) that dabo has seemed unusually quiet this entire year.

I've felt like they have a little too much "homecooking" on their coach staff for quite a while now.

Maybe he plans to make a move to the NFL and didn't want to waste time bringing new coaches in for them to ultimately be replaced when a new head coach is brought in.  Far fetched I'm sure, but anything is possible.

I posted before that my theory is Dabo is going to the Raiders to try his hand at the NFL.  He will give it a few years to see if he is successful at that level, and if not, be the replacement for Saban when he retires.  He could probably work in Alabama, because they can throw tons of money at coaches, and he can recruit, and lead cheers.

I could be way off, because this is only in my mind, nothing anyone has told me, or I've heard rumblings.  If it happened, I'd look like a prophet, if not, everyone will forget.

He has just been too laid back from the way he normally is, like he's got something in his back pocket.  Either that, or he's soiling his pants.

Would not surprise me. Who knows what's going down in tater town.

That theory is shared by many.  I just talked with someone who is a die hard and an alumni and they asked me if I'd heard all the Raiders rumors.  Guess we will wait and see.  I cannot see him having success in the NFL.  First time he yells in one of those guys faces on national television they will probably lay him out.
