Tuesday afternoon Muschamp Camp news, notes and observations
June 14, 2016
Tuesday’s session of the Will Muschamp Football Camp is in the books.
The South Carolina coach was making the rounds with several prospects during and after the afternoon portion of the workout.
Christian Armstrong, one of the top prospects on hand for the day’s session, scooped up an offer from the Gamecocks at the conclusion of camp.
Several SEC schools have already offered the 4-star offensive tackle from Warner Robins, Ga., including Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. After Tuesday’s camp, Armstrong stopped for a picture with his dad, Muschamp and offensive line coach Shawn Elliott. Strength and conditioning coordinator Jeff Dillman snapped the photo.
Muschamp also spoke to 2018 wide reciever Sam James and 2017 wide receiver/defensive back Adonicas Sanders during 1-on-1 work.
Jones, who was on campus with a few teammates from Richmond Hill, Ga., already lists an offer from South Carolina.
Sanders, a Fort Dorchester prospect, worked out at both wide receiver and cornerback during Tuesday’s 1-on-1s.
Working with the quarterbacks was 2018 York (S.C.) prospect Brayden Hawkins. Texas A&M and Virginia have hosted him for camps this month.
