South Carolina (3-2, 1-0 SEC) travels to face LSU (9-2, 4-1 SEC) on Saturday night in Baton Rouge in an SEC matchup at the Maravich Center.  Mike Morgan (play-by-play) and Mark Wise (analyst) will have the call for the SEC Network broadcast, while Derek Scott (play-by-play) and Casey Manning (analyst) will handle the call over the air on the Gamecock Sports Network.

May get a chance to see TreVaughn Minotte tonight, if some of the other bigs aren't available.  Would be nice to find out what he's really made of (and LSU's as good a test of that as any team I can think of right now).

Another unrelated note... glad to see that Mike Morgan's got the announcing duties with SEC Network tonight.  He helps ease some of the Gamecock smack-talk that we get too often, since he spent so much time here.  (Plus he seems to be a fan of Frank Martin's body of work here).

 
38-34 Gamecocks at the half!  Some TIGHT “D”  from the ‘Cocks tonight.  LSU has stayed in this game from the FT line.

 
That loss was tough... we did everything right, except the fouls.  We gave LSU 32 chances from the charity stripe, and they made 24 (75%).  We got 10 of 14.

Otherwise, we out played, out rebounded, out every-thinged them.  And Will Wade... geez.  What a piece of garbage.  The guy sucks.  League should fine him for that end of game crap.

You were prescient with these comments.  Refs bailed LSU out.  And get railroaded by Will Wade as a thanks at the end of the game AND they don’t T him up after the T is called (correctly, mind you).

I am REALLY sore about this loss.

 
Stats show we were the better team tonight.  We match them point for point with their best shooters, play better defense, outrebound them, hit more threes.  Crap, crap, crap... I don’t know what to say.  (Except the referees were not good).

 
It really killed us that we only made 1 FG the last 7:47 of the game. Other than that, I feel we played well against a tough team. I hate to make the excuse of poor officiating, but they were terrible. I agree with y'all about Will Wade. He's a lying, cheating piece of shit.
