I started to go to this one, but I got hung up and work.

To Hell with Georgia!!

Go Cocks!!

Both teams are not shooting great, but the Gamecocks are shooting slightly better, and UGA keeps turning over the ball. This helps South Carolina take a 36-26 lead into the halftime break. South Carolina also is not in too terribly bad foul trouble. We just need to keep it going into the 2nd half.....

THis is the kind of defense I have wished for.   Effective, and not a lot of fouls.   Need to tighten up on the inside more.   uga has some baskets on offensive rebounds.   We need to eliminate that.     Have to play better on offense.   Not shooting it well.

Nice win...we needed that. I hope you're right, Ace, in this being an energizing game for us. Would be great to build up some momentum heading into the latter part of conference play.

Good to win.   Switching to a less pressure defense was a brilliant move by Frank.   We still need to improve on how we play it, but I like it a lot more than what we usually run.   I think we foul less in that defense too, which helps us a lot.   You could tell McCreary was rusty.   I expect him to be better against Vandy on Saturday.    I thought Seventh and Hannibal were better tonight than they have been lately.   Good to see that.  If Frank keeps Bryant coming off the bench, I look for him to be SEC Sixth Man of the Year.   He is playing well.     Looking forward to the game at Vandy.

Just, when I think FRANK is done at Carolina he shows some brilliant moves,  I hope he is open minded enough to change up like he did last night,  I thought the players responded very well, the shooting at time was still bad but hey an win is an win,  better than losing.  I hope Frank can recover and the team make an run late to help his cause out he surely needs it.

I have been an long time supporter of Martin, but this year and last was wavering just an bit, this win helps hope the cocks can keep up the good play , Bryant was an beast last night and him coming off the bench helped .  Good win  GO COCKS!

I don't think Frank will be fired, regardless of how the rest of the season goes.   Covid ruined the end of last season and has badly damaged this season.

I'm not sure who the second half team was that played for us last night, but I hope they stick around.  Give Seventh props for the energy he provided the team at the start of the game with some really good defense, and Bryant was the best player on the court in the second half.  That was fun.

Is it just me, or is UGA worse under Tom Crean than they were with Mark Fox?
It ain't you. Remember that Crean did not succeed at Indiana.

Crean seems to be able to get a big name or two, but  that can hurt team chemistry if they leave after a year. Frank's way is better - only Dozier left early.
Nope, like Ace said... not just you.

Crean had an incredible opportunity with a top 15 recruiting class in '19-'20, but was hampered by youth and injuries.  (Of course he lost one of his "superstars" after last year - remember that Anthony Edwards posted 36 points on us last year in an OT loss.)  He had no Seniors returning to the team, lost Edwards and Rayshaun Hammonds, and graduated 3 Seniors.

Not certain where things fell apart with this year's recruiting, but it was definitely a downgrade from the top 15 class the prior year.  Given Tom Crean's record, though, I would imagine he'll put himself back in the picture with recruiting again.  (He's currently got his claws in two national top 15 recruits for 2021, if they will actually sign with UGA).

@Ace Dilcock is right in his assessment about the big recruiting names going pro immediately.  It has bitten Crean once at UGA - Edwards was their ONLY consistent offensive option, and everyone knew he was a one and done guy.  Won't be the last time you see Crean make that move/mistake.
